Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String......

A few of my favourite things from Lula-Issue Ten.

Including two of my favourites, Christopher Kane and Miu Miu; Actress Ludivine Sagnier; Ladybird Beauty Spot; Antonio Marras; Orla Kiely; Eccentric cat lady in Chloe and Chanel. 

When I first flicked through this issue of Lula that's as far as it went and then it made it's way to the ever growing magazine pile. I was obviously not that inspired by it's content at first. Since poring over every page thoroughly I feel guilty for not giving it the time of day back then. Every page is worthy of a frame and I would post it all if I didn't want you to rush out and buy it immediately..but I do..so go!

LOVE....

Issue 3 of LOVE magazine. LOVE the Armani bow bikini top and the spotty Luella dress.

When I was presented with the Daria cover after having hinted for either the Kate or Lara cover my man reassured me 'don't worry there is a lot of them inside...and I mean a LOT'. Yes it is true they have a penchant for nudity in this issue. Methinks there may have been an ulterior motive involved in the purchase of this 'gift'!

I could see this becoming a reality if he was still around...

I recommend reading this issue from cover to cover!

Pure Lines....

This editorial in the new issue of Elle UK caught my eye. It is so different for Elle and I love the way simplicity is used to such dramatic affect.

Sugar and Spice.....

Love this from the current Vogue {top 3 images}. It reminded me of one of my all time favourite editorials, also from Vogue, in the February 2008 issue. So I dug it out and thought I would share them below. I think they have a few of the same elements like nudes with accents of gorgeous neon brights.

The Society....

These inspiringly styled sets are from The Society. I love their aesthetic in general and although sometimes quite desolate their styling is always beautiful. There is something about that second image...

Spring Dress.....

Incredible work by New York designer Katie Gallagher. Love her whole collection. The lace visor is just awesome. Could just imagine myself frolicking in a field in that metal spring dress too....or maybe not.

Fade to Pink..

Yesterday was a sad day. Makes me appreciate life even more.







Found dead in her Paris apartment on 19/11/09.  Most of us only know her for her incredible contribution to fashion and her fantastic editorials, she will be missed!
